Regarding: The Little Toyko of Paris
We have tried a couple more of the sushi places here, and while the fish is of good quality, there really doesn't seem to be much more selection than salmon and tuna. For a much better sushi experience, check out http://paris.thedatevine.com/tip/2895[Isami], but it comes with a price!

Regarding: A tiny village in Paris
Stroll through Bercy Village and keep warm with a cup of soup in hand, one of the best meals I've had here. Check out the soup stand toward the middle of the promenade and then browse the festive window displays. A fun ambiance for holiday shopping as well.

Regarding: Fly boats?
The site below has a list of many other boat tour operators as well, offering different starting points and cruise options. We've used Vedettes du Pont Neuf and enjoyed it; if you reserve online there is a 3€ discount. http://www.parisinfo.com/visite-paris/excursions-1/en-bateau/

Regarding: Marketing in Paris
The market on Place Monge is on the smaller side, but still charming and offers plenty of culinary delights. You may also want to head down rue Monge to the market around the Maubert-Mutualité metro station. There you will find many additional fruit and vegetable vendors.

Regarding: Sailing in Luxembourg
There's a lot to do in the Luxembourg Garden, even though most find people-watching to be the most pleasurable activity. It's the traditional upper-class park to see and be seen, so dress accordingly. Decidedly less uppity is a whole section of the garden for sporty activities: tennis courts, basketball, and dozens of children's activities from pony rides to marionette shows.

Regarding: White night
The 2007 Nuit Blanche will take place on the night of October 6th to 7th, with events stretching along the 14 line of the Métro, from Batignolles to Olympiades. We presume this is to celebrate the opening of the new Olympiades station. The White Night trend is spreading throughout Europe and the world. There are now similar festivals in Rome, Madrid, Toronto, Brussels, Malta, and Bucharest.

Regarding: Paris goes to the beach
The palm trees may be a bit of a stretch, but it's authentic summer fun at Paris Plage. The central beach stretches on the right bank of the Seine from the Pont de Sully to the Jardin des Tuileries and is open from around July 20 to August 20 each summer. Two smaller beaches are installed at the Port de la Gare (near the Mitterand site of the National Library in the 13th arrondissement, metro Quai de la Gare or Bibliothèque) and at the Bassin de la Villette (metro Jaurès).

Regarding: Felafel sandwiches in the Marais
On Sunday, when most of Paris still asleep or closed for the day, the Rue des Rosiers is a happening spot. If you'd prefer to eat your falafel seated, Chez Marianne is your place. The fried aubergine (eggplant) is divine. As for pastries, Chez Finkelstein is my favorite, specializing in baked goods in the Eastern European tradition.

Regarding: A tea time treat
The traditional architecture and romantic courtyard of the Paris Mosque make this the perfect spot to relax with a hot drink after an afternoon promenade in the nearby Natural History Museum or Jardin des Plantes. You may just want to spend the whole evening here, enjoying couscous (vegetarian, chicken, or merguez sausage) while the sun goes down. Regarding: Famous Baguettes
We just tried our first Eric Kayser baguettes last night. Excellent! I've also noticed the varying burnt quality of baked goods here. Some people prefer them that way, because there always seems to a few burnt baguettes and croissants in the batch. Be sure you say "une baguette pas trop cuite" (pronounced "pah tro kueet," which means "not cooked too much") so that you can truly enjoy the bread France is known for without that burnt taste. The price is not exorbitant. The Kayser baguette is 1€05, which is exactly the same price as most bakeries around Paris.
