You're in France. Complain!

Get your adrenaline pumping by facing cops and tear gas (well, worse comes to worse, but it’s not that infrequent) or more likely just chant along during one of Paris’ many, many protests. Whether it’s in support of the unions, the students or social security, Parisians find plenty to complain about (and often actually get their way), so if you find a cause worth supporting, you might find out that demonstrations are actually often quite fun and good-natured. And talk about bonding! It’s not unusual to bump into the larger demonstrations that usually take place somewhere between the rallying points of Republique, Nation, Place d’Italie and Montparnasse… but you’ll probably hear about it (or hear the chanting) first.
