Go bike-riding in the Bois de Vincennes, which has kilometers of cyclable paths - beautiful escape from the city. For a three-hour guided bike tour full of history (bring your own bicycle, 4-6 euros), call 01.40.71.75.60.

Take a breath of fresh air amidst the 800 different types of trees of the arboretum of the Ecole de Breuil, which is part of the Vincennes woods (though technically still in Paris, you have to take the RER out to Joinville-Le-Pont).

Have a picnic dinner in the Bois de Vincennes before heading over to the Chalet du Lac de Saint Mande for an evening of swing and salsa dancing. Live band every Thursday night, great dance floor, beautiful location.
